Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Luminous System is my skin savior! Before this, I’ve never been particularly crazy about whitening products because I personally think hydration is more important. Until recently, my skin turned darker after I came back from Indonesia! I need help!

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Luminous System

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Luminous System is a new range of products that offer a whole new level of luminosity benefits which includes translucency, brightness, purity, even-looking tone, and hydration.

Designed for and tested rigidly on Asian skin to ensure that the products are gentle enough for sensitive skin and non-irritating, they are proven to be suitable for any skin type.

Recommended order for Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Luminous System skincare regime:
Foaming Cleanser > Freshener > Ultimate Serum > Ultimate Cream > Mask (twice a week)

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Foaming Cleanser

The foaming cleanser is very gentle to the skin and cleanses away impurities effectively. It lathers up very well so I only need to squeeze out a little bit to cover my whole face. Upon dispensing it, it kinda smells like fresh cucumber. It feels a little slimey in order to glide smoothly for better cleansing experience. Don’t fret though, it rinses off easily 🙂

How to use: Wet your palms with water. Squeeze out a bit of foaming cleanser (1 chick pea sized amount) and lather it on your palms. Massage onto face for around 15 seconds and then rinse off. Use it twice daily, in the morning and night.

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Freshener

After cleansing, I prep my skin with the freshener (toner) so the next product can absorb better. My skin feels refreshed and clean. It does absorb quickly and it doesn’t have any color nor fragrance.

How to use: Pour freshener 2-3 times onto cotton pad and apply all over the face. Use it twice daily, in the morning and night.

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Ultimate Serum

Ultimate Serum is the star product in this awesome range! Besides the signature ingredients stated previously, it also has 2 extra powerful ingredients – Hexylresorcinol and Maritime Pine & White Birch Extracts. Hexylresorcinol works to target glutathione and the accumulation of pigment on the skin’s surface while Maritime Pine & White Birch Extracts target melanin to stop skin from further darkening.

The consistency of the serum was watery and lightweight, hence completely absorbed into the skin as soon as it was applied. Just like the freshener, it was also colorless and odorless, making it perfect for people with sensitive skin.

How to use: For my face, I need 3 pumps to cover my entire face (forehead, left cheek + right cheek, chin + nose). Massage it in circular motion. Use it twice daily, in the morning and night.

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Ultimate Cream

Last but not least in the daily regime is Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Ultimate Cream that delivers 24-hour moisture with immediate hydrating effects. White in color, Ultimate Cream has a butter-like texture that melts into skin. Although it feels a little heavy at first, but it absorbs quickly and became lightweight after a few minutes.

How to use: For hygiene purpose, use a spatula to scoop out the product. You can use finger as well. Massage appropriate amount onto the skin either in circular motion for better absorption or upward and outward for firming effect. Use it twice daily, in the morning and night.

Mary Kay MelaCEP Plus+ Mask

Remember to apply mask and pamper your skin 2-3 times per week for optimum result! I’m amazed that my skin immediately looked more radiant and glowing after I washed it off. Skin also feels smooth and supple.

How to use: Apply mask onto entire face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. Do take note that mask will not dry completely since it’s a hydrating mask.

Results!

As you can see, it only takes 15 days to see visible result. All these photos were taken before I apply anything on skin. The only thing I used were eyebrow pencil and lip gloss. At Day 0, my skin was dull and dark. By Day 15, my skin has turned more translucent with radiance and natural glow. By Day 30, the glow is even more obvious and my skin is now brighter than ever!
