Flying Experience with Aeroline

Normally, I would drive down to Penang and back but it’s only economical if you’re fetching more people cos you can share the costs. Further more, it’s really really tiring to drive around 400 km!! How can you enjoy the trip when you’re already so tired from driving? >__<

So, le boyfie and I decided to take a bus back to KL from Penang since my friend who drove us there went back earlier… but all the news about bus accidents kinda freaked us out and therefore, we only select trusted companies like Aeroline. Before this, I only knew that Aeroline provides bus service to/from Singapore but a friend in Penang informed us that they do provide transport to/from Penang too! *joy*

As we’re tech savvy people, we kinda like to do everything online LOL! So we booked and paid for our seats via https://www.aeroline.com.my/ and print out the confirmation page in order to redeem the exact ticket on the actual date. Later on, we got to know that we actually just need to save down the Reference No. so we can save some papers next time!

The whole journey took around 5 hours but we can barely feel it cos there’s so much we can do to entertain ourselves. I can charge my smartphone that normally lasts only 1 hour under heavy usage (the battery already sot sot dei) to chat with friends via FB and Twitter, I watched Glee The Musical and also listened to some Korean songs hehe! We reached Corus Hotel in no time!

Maggi Goreng @ Restoran Yunus Khan aka Jiao Sai

Many Penangites have been raving about the Maggi Goreng here at Restoran Yunus Khan. Among the Chinese, it is better known as ‘Jiao Sai‘ which means bird shit. Why bird shit? From the story I’ve heard, the restaurant is called ‘Jiao Sai’ due to their old location at Jalan Phee Choon where birds always poo poo there! LOL! As they’ve moved to this new location, you need not worry about the poo poo anymore!

I think besides the awesomeness of the Maggi goreng, the super smooth fried egg is the real bomb! I’m not sure how they did it, but this is the first time I’ve ever eaten a fried egg with such texture!

Marshall’s Burger @ Jalan Burma, Penang

In Klang Valley, we have Burger Bakar Kaw Kaw and myBurgerLab. In Penang, they have Marshall’s Burger! Marshall’s Burger officially started their business in June 2012 at Pulau Tikus. Just operating from a stall back then, it’s easily recognizable from the long queue, waiting for mouth watering burgers. In just 5 months, they managed to expand their business and is now operating from a shoplot along Jalan Burma.

I’ve tried The Bull from their stall before, it was really juicy and the beef patties are very flavorful. Curious to try more, I visited their newly opened shop with le bestie and le boyfie.

Very noticeable signboard that's impossible to miss!

We reached there at 7pm. I was quite surprised that we don’t need to queue up. The tables were already full though but we were quite lucky to get a table as soon as we ordered.

During ordering, le boyfie pointed at me while saying the name of the burger I chose. Under normal circumstances, it’s alright and perfectly fine BUT NOT THIS TIME!!! You know what he said while pointing at me? “THE FAT PIGLET”!! Hmph!!

The Bison consists of 2 fresh 150g Australian Beef patties, 2 slices of American cheddar cheese with 2 slices of streaky pork bacon! Definitely a must-order for beef lover! You’ll be addicted by the juicy beef patties and melting cheese. The streaky pork bacon is very aromatic too.

The Fat Piglet Price: RM 9.90

Needless to say, The Fat Piglet was mine. Fresh pork patty with 2 slices of streaky bacon and accompanying greens is more than enough to keep my tummy happy! To be honest, both le boyfie and I love the taste of this burger most. I guess the taste of pork is still our favorite.

The Hawaiian Piggy Price: RM 11.90

Le bestie ordered The Hawaiian Piggy. What makes it Hawaiian is the pineapple slice on top of the fresh pork patty, cheddar cheese and pork ham. She was quite satisfied with her burger! With an additional fee of RM 8.50, you can opt for the set that consists of onion rings and a drink.

Started to get crowded!

Halfway through our meal, it has gotten more and more crowded! By 8pm when we leave, people were queuing outside either waiting for table, meal or both! So if you’re planning to pay them a visit, get here as early as possible!
