Update on Grandma’s Condition (Part 1)

26 February 2013
Mum asked me to drive grandma to Tung Shin Hospital and consult the Chinese doctor there. They have previously went to Gleneagles Hospital for ultrasound and X-Ray at the abdomen/liver area and doctor confirmed that something has blocked her common bile duct but not sure it’s tumor or gallstone unless she do endoscopy. When they were there, I didn’t follow but according to them, doctor said need to undergo surgery (I highly doubt that, maybe he was saying a procedure but mum thought it is surgery) and they didn’t want it cos mum is afraid grandma might not be able to wake up again after sedated. They didn’t even wanna do an endoscopy that requires a mild sedation. In the end, the Chinese doctor said it’s gallstone by just looking at the X-Ray (I doubt it’s accurate). He said he wouldn’t be able to help much since this requires a procedure so he told us don’t need to look for alternative anymore and straight seek medical help from Western doctor instead.

Since we need to wait 2.5 hours for the Chinese medicine to boil, they decided to go over to the Western department for a second checking just in case the first one isn’t accurate. From the information counter, we were referred to Dr. Ashim Nandy, a specialist in General Surgery, Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and G1 Surgery. He recommended that grandma to be hospitalized and go on IV drip since she always feel nauseous and has no appetite to eat solid food. Within a month or two, she has became very very thin. It hurts to see that all that was left on her is skin and bone, no more meat nor fat. Besides, she also has jaundice that made her skin and urine turned yellow.

After waiting from 1pm til 6pm, it was finally grandma’s turn. I accompanied her until the outside of imaging room for her to do ultrasound and CT scan. Since it’s already so late, we will only know the result tomorrow. Going to overnight in hospital tonight.

Don’t Lose It All, Time to Get Data (Part 1)

It’s always assumed that relationships are blissful – but wait! It’s not all candies and kisses, sometimes there a lot of hardship to deal with and it can be really emotionally taunting and mentally demanding. What’s worse is, pairing the idea of a long distance relationship with the sad soppy case of losing communication.

That’s why Clumsy Boy and I always messages each other via LINE app whenever we are to keep the spark alive. After all, it’s been 7 years already. You know what Chinese said about being in the 7th year of relationship? It’s like a curse :X

I’ve also heard stories from my friends in LDR. When you’re living in different time zone, everything feels different and distant. No matter how much you trust each other, you will still feel that bit of insecurity and wonder what he/she is doing when you couldn’t reach them just like in the video below:

What’s going on? They seemed happy.

Although they were going to be far away from each other, they seemed like they were in it forever but then suddenly everything changed! Did he find someone else? Or is it just a simple misunderstanding? Relationships are an uphill battle or sometimes a downwards spiral – it’s really how you manage it but these two sadly went the wrong way. Who’s that guy at the end? Does he like her? And does she like him too?

Most importantly, in the case of Amy & Nick’s relationship, it shows that if there is no data, you’ll lose it all. After all, everything is on the internet now and it costs almost nothing at all. Just as long as you have data, relationships will go smooth sailing so dial *128# to sign up for any pack to have it all.

Remember my previous post about Laugh Fest 2012: Papi Zak’s Pillow Talk? It was my first time watching a stand up comedy! I felt really excited on the day itself 🙂

Experiencing LAUGH FEST 2012: Papi Zak’s PILLOW TALK

We're here at PJLA!

We’re here at PJLA!

The show started with a video of Kavin Jay and Papi Zak talking to each other and then Papi Zak asked Kavin Jay to go out for the show. Kavin Jay finally appeared in front of us! His jokes which covers his childhood and sex life were hilarious!! One of the jokes that I like is this: As an Indian, he doesn’t understand why his Chinese friends likes to tease him by saying “apunene” and “ingepuringge”. The truth is, he doesn’t know what the fuck they mean! LOL! Yes, that’s the exact words he used. But then he said, he couldn’t use back the same tactic to his Chinese schoolmates cos he can’t go to them and say “Hey! Tau fu fah~~ Tau jiong sui~~”

After some entertaining jokes by Kavin Jay, the video resumed and it was Papi Zak’s turn to come out. He made a grand entrance by dancing with 2 sizzling hot girls clad in sleepwears!! I’m sure all the guys were having nosebleed teehee~~ Anyway, it was an entertaining night and I really enjoyed it!
