Schwarzkopf Professional BC Fibre Force

No comments yet

Girls being girls, we always want to look best. Hence, we perm our hair, do rebonding and give it a new shade of color according to the trend every now and then.

Unfortunately, all these chemical services could lead to damaged, dull and lifeless hair. Oh no! Is there a chance to revive it?

Fret not as Schwarzkopf Professional BC Fibre Force promises to reconstruct even the most eroded hair, strengthens it and restores it to its optimal level of force and resilience after usage between 4-10 weeks. This product range is formulated with micronized, hair-identical keratin components that penetrates deep into the hair structure to seal the gaps in the Cell Membrane Complex. Cell Membrane Complex is the intercellular bonding cement responsible for strong and resilient hair fibre.

Japanese Cold Perm Experience @ Nekderx Academy

So a golden opportunity to get a hair makeover came when Miriam asked on Facebook whether anyone wanna do Japanese Cold Perm as a model or not. I’ve always wanted to restyle my hair because I feel very frustrated handling my messy and frizzy hair plus it doesn’t look straight nor curly. It’s curly at parts I want it to be straight and vice versa.

But then again, I’m not a person who love changes. Kinda worry that I might not like how I look later. Don’t care la, in the end went to Nekderx Academy @ Damansara Perdana to do it. Never try, never know.

Before Japanese Cold Perm

Before Japanese Cold Perm

The appointment was delayed half an hour because they had a workshop earlier and it ended later than expected. So we went to The Curious Goat cafe that is just beside Nekderx and I ordered a cup of Chai Latte. It was sooo good, that nostalgic feeling crept in since I haven’t had Chai Latte for quite some time already.

It’s been so long, Chai Latte! #vscocam #coffee #cafehopping #cafehoppingmalaysia

I actually didn’t know what kind of event is that. I initially thought it’s some kind of competition because there were a few models and the stylists were divided into different teams. Through conversations with them, then only I found out that it’s a workshop.

Before they start to work on my hair, they discussed on how to cut it, asked how I like the curls to be (I prefer large curls so it will look more natural and less matured) and then explained to the Japanese sensei (Mr. Matsumoto from Serio Salon, Japan). He will give them some pointers and then after he approved their idea, they can start to execute it.

They were so good to help me spray on Milbon Inphenom Accel Water and Milbon Inphenom Inner CMC first before cutting my hair. So jaga my hair! ♥ The team in charge of my hair was from Hair Impression, Penang and the stylist who cut my hair is called Pessy Tai. Her hair cutting speed was so fast but it turned out really good. I’m impressed!

The best thing about Japanese Cold Perm is, it doesn’t involve heat so I assume it’s better than digital perm cos excessive heat can damage hair. So what they did was curl my hair with curling rollers and keep squeezing the solution onto my hair (like, a lot!). After 15-20 minutes, my hair was rinsed and blow dried. They checked my hair and cut a bit more to further perfect it. Matsumoto san also came over and help cut my side fringe to make it look more natural and feel lighter.

Here’s the outcome!

I quite like it! Most of my friends also commented that this style looks good on me.
The side fringe made my face look smaller! ^_^v
The whole process only took 1.5 hour. Super fast! I expected to sit there for 4 hours LOL!

Milbon Deesse Elujuda Emulsion

Milbon Deesse Elujuda Emulsion

Unlike rebonding, permed hair needs to be maintained. They suggested me to apply Milbon Deesse Elujuda Emulsion while my hair is still wet and let it air dry. For cold perm, hair tends to be more curly when it’s wet.

After 2 weeks, the curls looked more natural than before. Photo taken in my room at Estadia Hotel. Need to keep twisting my hair during blow dry but most of the time, I just let it air dry.

BTW, Nekderx Academy is not a salon ya so don’t go there to get your hair permed. They’re just importer and distributor of haircare products and equipments. This academy is mainly to educate their clients on how to use their products.

Philips Easy Natural Curler BHH777/03 – Claims vs. Truth

Hair styling is one of the aspect that I fail miserably. I don’t even know how to braid my own hair. I used to ask my bestie to braid my hair everyday when I was in secondary school.

And then I received this for hair styling purpose – Philips Easy Natural Curler. I was skeptical at first: Is it really as easy to use as claimed? What if I failed? I guess they’ll need to pass a noobie’s test in order to qualify as “easy to use”.

I remember the last time I used a hair curler. It was a nightmare! I burnt my hair 2 days before my wedding ceremony. Luckily I managed to recover it using hair mask.

First impression: The tulip shaped Philips Easy Natural Curler in purple/black scheme color is lightweight and compact, making it suitable for travelling. Its unique design enclosed the plates inside to protect against accidental burns.

There are two buttons on the sides for you to push to open the curler, revealing the plates. Release the buttons to close it back. This automatic clip mechanism makes it easier and more convenient to hold the hair strand while styling, with just one hand especially at the back of your hair.

  5. If you want to create inward curls, rotate/roll the device towards your head.
If you prefer outwards curls, rotate/roll the device away from your head.
For romantic soft curls, I’m doing the inward curls. You can also mix the two types of the curls for a more natural and modern style.

  6. Pull down the curler slowly and continuously until the end. Use fingers to hold and shape the curls before it cools down. For longer lasting result, use hair mousse to fix it.

Conclusion: Daebak! Philips Easy Natural Curler has successfully passed the challenge! I never thought it would be this easy to create soft curls for my hair. This is by far the easiest hair curler I’ve ever used without needing to worry about accidental burns because I didn’t even feel the heat. Plus, the automatic clip mechanism cleverly prevents my arm from feeling tired for constantly holding the clip. It’s my new best friend now!!
