Hydration is most important and essential in maintaining healthy skin. A hydrated complexion looks more plump, healthy, and youthful looking. Having an adequately hydrated face will help to improve skin elasticity which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Additionally, hydrated skin also helps to combat oiliness. Dehydrated skin produces more oil because it is compensating for a lack of moisture. Dehydrated skin is also less resilient to environmental irritants. When your skin is fully hydrated, it is able to fight and flush out toxins more effectively because your cells are getting the maximum amount of hydration that they need to function at their best.
The best ingredient for hydration is Hyaluronic acid (HA), as it is natural, has a high viscosity, and is water-retaining. It retains water just like a sponge, to achieve the efficient water-locking effect. It is often used as a base for skin care.
Since the launch of Hada Labo in Japan in 2004, it has continued to conduct in-depth research on hyaluronic acid and is committed to providing consumers with a more perfect moisturizing experience. After 18 years of research, Hada Labo has made a new breakthrough and developed the World’s First Fermented Hyaluronic Acid! The R&D inspiration comes from the traditional fermentation process developed by the monk from Shoryakuji Temple in Nara, Japan 600 years ago.

5 Hyaluronic Acids in Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion
The 5 types of Hyaluronic Acids (HA), which offers different functions include:
- Large, Medium Hyaluronic Acids (HA)
Forms a powerful layer of moisture-locking shield to lock in and retain a large volume of moisture inside the skin - Super Hyaluronic Acids (HA)
With 2X the hydration retention capacities as normal hyaluronic acid to provide skin with long-lasting hydration - Nano Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
Fine molecule-sized HA easily penetrates and infuses moisture deep into skin to improve skin elasticity and prepares skin for enhanced skin care ingredient absorption - Fermented Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
Help to repair skin barriers, and balance the skin microbiome, which means balancing the good and bad bacteria in our skin, to keep skin healthy
Other Hyaluronic Acid skincare products in the market have relatively large molecules. Hada Labo’s hyaluronic acids are formulated using different-sized molecules, which can penetrate different layers of the skin to offer more complete hydration.

Great reading. I just bought that Hada Labo for my boyfriend and he loves it. I used it too on the daily.
Well, Just wanna share about my basic skincare routine. I’m a heavy makeup user (because of work) to the point that I hate wearing it so much. Despite that, my make up actually stays very long. I realised that it was because of my skincare routine in the morning, and how I prepped them before cosmetics. I usually used too much skincare products like Cleanser, Exfoliator, Toner, Essence, Mask, Serum, Moisturiser, Day Cream, and finally Sunscreen. So my skin was very soft and everyone was kinda jealous of it. After removing makeup and before sleep, I would only do basic cleansing and some moisturiser cream.
But, I was somehow unsatisfied with my skin because I saw that everytime I wake up from sleep, I LOOK TERRIBLE. Hahaha. I have tiny bumps, white heads, oily around the T zone and sometimes the skin is too dry. So I started searching for ways to look good all the time, to be beauty without having make up at all , especially when waking up from sleep.
I saw a video on Youtube that changes my way of using skincare forever! In that video, an asian guy who has a very beautiful skin, flawless and glowing, showing his skincare routine. They are the same as my routine, the only difference was that he only do that before sleep. Yes, before sleep. His morning routine and before make up were very simple. 3 steps skincare of Cleanser, Serum, and Sunscreen.
Well, I was curious and tried it and I can’t believe how amazing I looked like the next morning. The logic is that the skincare ingredients absorbs better during our sleep. Some products actually breaks down in sunlight, for instance glycolic acids.
In a summary, I learnt that I don’t need so many skincare products in the morning and before cosmetics. The basics or mandatories are only cleanser, serum and sunscreen, then you’re good to go.
So now I am confident with my bare face and I have my own beauty brand.. YAYYY..
Please continue writing more about skincare and beauty, they are very helpful to me 😉
Cheers,
