Every day, Malaysians send money overseas for reasons that matter, whether paying university fees, supporting family members, purchasing goods, managing business commitments or building savings abroad. As international transfers become a more regular part of everyday financial life, customers increasingly expect them to be fast, transparent and easy to track from start to finish.
Yet speed alone is no longer enough. As consumers become more accustomed to seamless digital experiences, they also want to know upfront what they are paying, how much the recipient will receive and where their money is at every stage of the transfer.
Faster and More Transparent International Money Transfers with GET (Global Easy Transfer)
This is where GET (Global Easy Transfer), MBSB Bank’s international remittance solution in partnership with Wise Platform, is designed to meet the evolving needs of Malaysians.
Built around three key customer priorities, speed, cost transparency and visibility, GET enables customers to transfer up to RM150,000 daily, benefit from competitive foreign exchange rates with costs disclosed upfront, and track transfers in real time, all within MBSB Bank’s MJourney banking app and web platform.
As Malaysia’s only bank-backed international transfer solution powered by Wise, GET provides customers with a seamless way to manage international transfers through a single digital banking platform.
GET Transaction Volumes Grew 250% in 2026
Since its introduction, GET has continued to gain traction among customers. Based on average daily activity, the number of unique users more than doubled, while transaction volumes grew 250% in 2026 compared to 2025. Repeat transaction rate from GET customers of over 90% was recorded over the past year, indicating that customers are increasingly returning to GET as part of their regular international payment activities.
The growing use of GET also reflects the diverse reasons Malaysians move money internationally. Family support and monthly living expenses account for the largest share of GET transactions, followed by payments for goods, salary remittances and transfers for personal savings.
Together, these transactions illustrate how international transfers are increasingly supporting practical, everyday financial needs rather than occasional one-off payments.
GET Expands International Transfers from 12 to 20 Currencies

Responding to these evolving needs, MBSB Bank recently expanded GET from 12 to 20 currencies, adding support for key destinations including Vietnam, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. The expansion provides customers with greater flexibility to manage education expenses, family support, business payments and overseas savings across a wider range of markets.
Demand for existing currencies such as the Australian Dollar and British Pound also remains strong, particularly for education-related transactions, highlighting the significant overseas commitments many Malaysians continue to manage, from tuition fees to living expenses.
Competitive Foreign Exchange Rates and Real-Time Transfer Tracking
For customers managing larger transfers, competitive foreign exchange rates, greater cost transparency and real-time tracking remain important considerations when selecting an international transfer provider, areas that MBSB Bank continues to strengthen through GET.
MBSB Bank Responds to Changing International Transfer Expectations
Rafe Haneef, Group Chief Executive Officer of MBSB Berhad, said:

“International money transfers have changed considerably over the years. What once involved branch visits, paperwork and several days of waiting has become a much more immediate experience. As customers become increasingly comfortable managing their finances digitally, expectations around speed, visibility and transparency have also evolved. The continued growth of GET reflects this shift and reinforces the importance of making international transfers simpler, clearer and more convenient for customers.”
The growing adoption of GET reflects changing expectations around international money transfers, where speed increasingly forms part of the digital banking experience. To bring this proposition to life, MBSB Bank recently introduced a campaign featuring Malaysian professional race car driver Leona Chin, known for speed, precision and performance on the racetrack.
A Simpler Cross-Border Transfer Experience
Usman Ghouse, Group Chief Consumer Banking Officer of MBSB Bank, added:

“GET is built around what customers value when moving money internationally: faster transfers, transparency and visibility. At MBSB Bank, we will continue to put customers at the centre of how we develop our products and services, ensuring GET evolves alongside their needs whilst delivering a simpler and more seamless cross-border transfer experience through a single digital touchpoint.”
Wise Platform Partnership Supports GET Expansion
Samarth Bansal, APAC General Manager at Wise Platform commented:
“GET’s strong growth shows the demand from Malaysians for fast, convenient and transparent international payments. We’re proud to be deepening our partnership with MBSB Bank as it expands to 20 currencies, giving customers even more routes to send money internationally through the bank they know and trust.”
