There is a quiet kind of magic at Suria Park. You sense it before you even realise why, in the sunlight filtering through the trees and the laughter that drifts easily across its open lawns. Built by IJM Land within the heart of Suria Hill, this 4.42-acre RM3 million community park captures what modern townships often miss, a space that feels alive, grounded, and designed for togetherness.
Suria Park and IJM Land’s Legacy of Growth
For decades, IJM Land has played a defining role in the development of Bandar Puncak Alam, shaping it into one of Klang Valley’s most promising corridors. From building homes and infrastructure to creating meaningful community spaces, IJM Land has been a driving force behind the township’s transformation.

That legacy continues through Suria Park, the latest green landmark within Suria Hill. It reflects IJM Land’s dedication to building not just houses but holistic townships centered on wellness, inclusivity, and connection.

To commemorate the launch of Suria Park, IJM Land hosted a Tree Planting Program where community leaders, local authorities, and partners came together to plant trees symbolising growth, unity, and sustainability. Watching the distinguished guests carefully place young trees into the soil, I felt a sense of hope. These trees will one day stand tall as living testaments to the partnership between IJM Land and the community it continues to nurture.

A Sanctuary Inspired by the Sun
Covering 4.42 acres, Suria Park draws inspiration from Suria, meaning the sun, a symbol of warmth and vitality. Designed by HODA Design, the park is a living landscape filled with flowering trees, resilient shrubs, and natural drainage systems that keep the ecosystem balanced and sustainable.

Every corner of the park feels thoughtfully planned. There is a 400-metre jogging track and a 250-metre hiking trail for outdoor enthusiasts. Sports lovers will enjoy the multipurpose courts that cater to basketball, futsal, pickleball, badminton, and sepak takraw. For those seeking adventure, the skate park and climbing wall add an energetic touch. Families can relax at the Suria Children’s Playground, while pet owners have their own space at the Cat Park.

Accessibility is a key focus. Barrier-free pathways, tactile paving, wheelchair-friendly equipment, and well-lit routes with clear wayfinding ensure that everyone can enjoy the park comfortably and confidently. It truly feels like a space designed for all ages and abilities.

A Living Heart for the Community
Beyond its facilities, Suria Park stands as a living heart for the community. Open to both residents and visitors, it serves as a shared ground for recreation, connection, and relaxation.
During the event, Tuan Haji Mohammad Faisal Ismail, Political Secretary to the Minister of Health Malaysia, shared an observation that resonated with me deeply.
“Suria Park is a clear example of how public spaces can bring lasting value to a community. It strengthens the social fabric of Bandar Puncak Alam and sets a positive benchmark for future developments.”

Standing among the newly planted trees, surrounded by families and guests, I understood exactly what he meant. Spaces like this have the power to unite people. They remind us that true community spirit grows best when people have a place to meet, share, and belong.
Suria Hill: A Township Shaped by Nature and Connection
The unveiling of Suria Park marks another step in the evolving story of Suria Hill, a 170-acre township envisioned as a hilltop retreat for modern families. Elevated 50 metres above sea level and designed with low-density planning of only ten homes per acre, it offers a serene living environment surrounded by nature.
The township’s first phase, Soren, launched in March 2025 with an impressive 80 percent take-up rate, showcasing strong demand for homes that prioritize lifestyle and well-being. Following its success, Sovana will be introduced in February 2026, featuring 96 two-storey link homes built on 20’x70’ lots. Designed for multigenerational living, the homes come with open layouts, upgraded finishes, and EV isolator points, all within close proximity to Suria Park.
Connectivity is one of Suria Hill’s strongest features. The township is linked directly to Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, LATAR Expressway, Guthrie Corridor Expressway, DASH, and NKVE, as well as the West Coast Expressway (WCE), which strengthens north–south connectivity. The upcoming East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) station, located just one kilometre away, will further enhance travel convenience.
A Township That Moves With Life
Life at Suria Hill is built around balance and accessibility. Residents enjoy nearby conveniences such as Lotus’s, Econsave, and Jaya Grocer for daily essentials, while KIP Mall and Elmina Lakeside Mall offer retail and dining options. Families benefit from proximity to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam Campus and Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah UiTM, ensuring education and healthcare are within easy reach.
What sets Suria Hill apart is its dedication to green living. The township features 29 acres of interconnected parks and gardens, including themed spaces such as the Vitality Garden, Sensory Garden, Sunrise Garden, Joyous Garden, and Spice Garden. A 4.6-kilometre hiking and jogging trail links these green spaces, creating a continuous network that encourages outdoor living and mindfulness.
As Datuk Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land, expressed,
“Suria Park enriches daily life, whether through a morning jog, an evening stroll, or a lively game on the courts. It offers a safe and welcoming space where people can gather, share experiences, and feel part of something larger.”
That sentiment captures exactly what I felt while walking through Suria Park. It is a place that radiates warmth and life, a reminder that wellness is not a luxury but a way of living.
Suria Park is more than a green space in Puncak Alam. It is a symbol of progress, care, and community. Every path, tree, and facility reflects IJM Land’s thoughtful approach to township building and its belief that great places are built around people.
As I left the park that day, I turned to see the rows of young trees swaying gently in the breeze. They stood small but full of promise, much like Puncak Alam itself, growing steadily with the support of a developer that understands what it means to create not just homes, but a living, breathing community.
