The highly-anticipated LOHAS Taiwan Excellence 2022: Jump for Love charity campaign which is sponsored by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has officially kicked off today at Sunway Velocity Mall.
Taiwan Excellence Spreads Love in Jump for Love
The charity event was officiated by H.E Ms. Anne Hung, Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, and Mr. Halman Salleh, Deputy Director of Sports Division, Kuala Lumpur Youth and Sports Department.
The competition has gained a lot of hype, resulting to an overwhelming positive response. They have received 3,773 videos for the preliminaries, with the youngest contestant being only 6 years old, while the eldest is 70 years old. Following a round of elimination by a panel of professional judges, 80 participants successfully advanced to the finals which will be a live event on 25th June.
Every jump made by participants of this competition will contribute Love Points to this charity event. At the end of it, they managed to accumulate over 800,000 Love Points goal that was set by Taiwan Excellence.
During the opening ceremony of the event, Taiwan Excellence has donated a range of products including KARMA wheelchairs, AROMASE shampoo, TATUNG electric cookers, SIMBA feeding bottles, rice, oil and biscuit worth RM 50,000 to the Suriana Welfare Society. Suriana Welfare Society is a children welfare organization devoted to helping children from low-income families. To express their thanks, the children sang a touching rendition of Rasa Sayang and Climb Every Mountain.
The donation handover ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Director of Sports Division at Kuala Lumpur Youth and Sports Department, Encik Halman bin Salleh. He commended the act of kindness shown by Taiwan Excellence in extending a helping hand to Malaysians and the effort to promote rope jumping to more people for a healthier lifestyle.
H.E Ms. Anne Hung mentioned during her speech that Taiwan Excellence is the globally recognized mark of quality that represents the best of Taiwanese products and thus, the products will bring great benefits to the recipients. This jump rope charity event has been organized to help the less fortunate children. The organizer aims to bridge Taiwanese products and the Malaysian people so we can benefit from their technology.
LOHAS Taiwan Excellence 2022: Jump for Love event will commence from 24th June (Friday) to 27th June (Monday) at Main Atrium (ground floor), Sunway Velocity Mall. Main highlights of the event include the jump rope competition finals on 25th June and Malaysia Book of Records attempt on 26th June, 3pm. 15 Malaysian rope skipping athletes will be attempting to make their mark in the Malaysia Book of Records with the entry “Most Skips Over a Single Rope in One Minute by A Team” (minimum 130 skips).
13 prestigious brands bearing the Taiwan Excellence mark will be showcasing their products during the event for public to experience and learn more about them. Among the brands are:
- Health and leisure: Bionime, :dc, EleClean, GoodARCH, and ible Airvida
- Beauty and hair care: AROMASE, Bio-Jourdeness, Derma Angel, and Natural Beauty
- Lifestyle products: Acera, Johnson Fitness, TUMÄ, and Vinaera
Apart from the product showcase, there will also be a series of workshops, free health screening for seniors, LOHAS cooking demonstration and promotions. The public are encouraged to visit this free event and stand a chance to win attractive prizes throughout the event. You also get to experience rope jumping on different surfaces including foot reflexology boards and grass turf.
