Automated Chinese New Year greetings from Chairman of BN Wangsa Maju?!

On the first day of Chinese New Year, I received a weird call from an unknown number (03-20355599).
When I answered the phone, it started babbling like nobody's business. I didn't really pick up long enough to listen to the content though cos I was afraid it might cost me money if I continue listening so I hung up within 2 seconds.

Right after I hung up, I received an SMS. My reaction was: What?! I've just been phone call spammed for the first time! I've been spammed via SMS and e-mail but phone call is definitely new.

The message read: Ucapan Gong Xi Fa Cai itu tadi adalah ikhlas dari saya Mohd Shafei Abdullah, Pengerusi BN Wangsa Maju, Selamat Maju Jaya, Selamat Tahun Baru Cina. T.K.

Translation: The Gong Xi Fa Cai greeting just now was sincerely from me Mohd Shafei Abdullah, Chairman of BN Wangsa Maju, All the best, Happy Chinese New Year. T.K.

My thoughts: Hmmm... only big corporations can afford to send SMS to so many people. I hope it's not our tax money :/

The Meaning of Chinese New Year to Me

As I became older and older, Chinese New Year has became more meaningless to me. In fact, it made me realize that people are realistic, stingy and selfish the most during this festive season.

Why did I say so?

When my dad was in the climax of his career, many people sent him hampers and CNY cards. As year passed, it got lesser and lesser and finally decrease to nil.
Last time, the only way to avoid giving out angpau to your neighbour's kids is to hide yourself in the house. If you're caught outside by the kids, consider yourself unlucky. But now, even if I saw my neighbour and wished them Gong Xi Fa Cai, they still pretend nothing happened. I should have wished them Gong Xi Fai Cai instead.
During reunion dinner, everyone talked in Hokkien, not bothering that I couldn't understand.
As usual, aunt didn't eat reunion dinner with my grandma (mum's side) and mum didn't eat reunion dinner with my grandma (dad' side) due to unknown family problems. CNY will only make me realize how disunited my family is.

So... these are the reasons why I don't really look forward to CNY. I like Christmas more because we shower our loved ones with gifts instead of money and the process of picking the right gift for them is more meaningful. It's the thought that counts.

Anyway, here are some photos I took during CNY Eve.

Food Review: BlackBall @ Sri Petaling

Story of BlackBall

The name BlackBall was taken from the main ingredient, 'Xian Cao' which is a type of 'black' jelly and taro 'balls' in their dessert creations. The founder, Mr. Tang was an accomplished tour guide and dessert connoisseur in Taiwan. He made his own recipe using 'Xian Cao' and gets his supply from 'Guan Xi' district, a place that is famous for its high quality 'Xian Cao'. The first outlet in Taipei was opened in 2006 and since then, the signature BlackBall has gained success and is one of the biggest dessert chains in Taipei, having over 20 outlets there.

The first outlet of BlackBall is located at SS15, Subang Jaya. Due to overwhelming response, it is also now available at Sri Petaling, Damansara Uptown, Johor Bahru and Penang. I had the chance to visit the Sri Petaling outlet on one sunny afternoon, craving for something cool to relieve my dehydration.

Movie Review: Ah Beng The Movie: Three Wishes 阿炳心想事成 (2012)

Ah Beng The Movie: Three Wishes 阿炳心想事成

I was lucky to be able to catch this movie during the Premiere Gala Screening at Pavilion yesterday thanks to HTC. Clumsy Boy was chosen in their ticket giveaway :)

Synopsis:
It's the eve of The Lunar New Year in a village. Every household is busy preparing to receive the auspicious God Of Fortune (GOF). Comes midnight, people of various races impersonate the GOF. They walk up to each household to offer mandarin oranges and lucky numbers in return for an "Ang Pau". Ah Beng's father being poor, dishes out only coins to these GOF. The worst dressed scruffy GOF who receives a tiny token from Ah Beng's father, is in fact, the true and almighty GOF. Without realizing, Ah Beng's father comments that he should be better dressed and wishes him good luck and good health, very sincerely. The true GOF is surprised but touched by Ah Beng's father's sincerity and grants him 3 wishes.

Not-so-bright security guard Ah Beng works at an open car-park, is being bullied by a group of rich brats with luxury cars, over their parking fee. A mysterious guy comes in and helps Ah Beng. Grateful for his help, Ah Beng invites him into his life and things starts to change around him.

One day at work, Bobby is injured while filming and with the help of Ah Beng, Rain and the mysterious guy, Bobby is brought to the hospital where they see both Ah Lian and Salted Fish Lian. Salted Fish Lian was collecting her medicine from the pharmacy. Ah Beng and the gang secretly investigates Salted Fish Lian's condition and is shocked to find out that Salted Fish Lian is very sick.

Back home, Ah Beng and the gang, are thinking of ways to save Salted Fish Lian. Bobby then spots a Talent Search contest in a newspaper with a massive grand prize of cash. Rain, Bobby and Ah Beng quickly form a singing trio to join the contest. Do they win? Who is the Mysterious Guy? Why is he there? What will Ah Beng's father's 3 wishes be?

It's a perfect Chinese New Year movie because it's really funny and has a good ending too!
Not touching enough though and lack of originality because the idea in talent show part is same like the videos we used to watch in Youtube.
Guys would especially love the action in car drifting part.

Modeling PRO @ Amber Chia Academy

Last month, I have finally gathered my courage and enroll for a course (Modeling PRO) in Amber Chia Academy. It has been my childhood ambition and although taking this course doesn't guarantee that I can become a model, at least I can learn more and take this as an experience (syok sendiri pun boleh lah).

Needless to say, I have became RM 2,800 poorer but I believe this will be a worthwhile experience. I'm currently very worry though on how I'm able to walk in a 5 inch heel. I only wear high heels when there are wedding dinners or Chinese New Year and my high heels are only 1 inch. I foresee that I will go through a lot of pain during this 6 weeks course hahaha *fingers crossed*

Alicafe vs. Cafe21

Erm OK, first things first. This is not an advertorial although I'm going to compare 2 brands in this post. I'm actually doing it to educate consumers on how to choose which brand/type of coffee to buy ~~cos I'm a coffee addict~~. My favorite coffee is Alicafe but because it's not cheap, I was planning to switch to another brand. I've previously tested Cafe21 and felt that it tastes almost the same as Alicafe and the price is also a lot cheaper so initially I thought of switching to Cafe21. BUT, when I read the Nutrition Information at the back of the packing, I was a bit shocked to find that Alicafe is actually healthier than Cafe21!

What I concern most is energy and fat since these 2 are the key elements that will make a person fat :p

However, we must also take note that Cafe21 only contain 12g per stick while Alicafe has 30g per stick. Therefore, I think Cafe21 is healthier for people who only drinks one cup per day because you only drink 12g serving size. Meanwhile, if you drink 2 cups per day, I'd suggest you buy Alicafe and divide 1 pack to drink twice.

Actually after analyzing this, I think I'll buy Cafe21 next time because I only drink once a day!

Finding My Dream Car @ Carsifu

Anyone remember about the accident I've gotten myself into last year? After I got back my car from the workshop, things were never the same again. Seriously. The parts of my car started to break down one by one. So I needed to send my car to workshop once every two months and it's not cheap.

If you haven't known, I'm actually a money savvy person. From my analysis, it would be wiser to buy a new and higher quality car than maintaining an old car. BTW, my little Kenari is already 8 years old and I maintained it quite well so I guess it could fetch a good second hand price *proud*.

Anyone can guess what kind of car I have in mind? Hehe my car preference is none other than Honda! My dad used to own a Honda Accord 2 decades ago so I guess I'll go for Honda Accord too (the latest design of course :p). But the big question is: Where can I find the best bargain for Honda cars?? Of course, reliability is a must too cos we're not buying vegetables here if you know what I mean.

After a round of Googling, I stumbled upon this website called Carsifu.com which is a car trading portal. People can post their cars for sale and they can also buy cars from here. Sounds interesting! So I explored around and figured how this portal works. It's as simple as ABC really. You just need to register as a member or login if you're already a member, browse around for your dream car and click on it to see the spec of the car. If you're interested, leave your contact and they will call you back for viewing. When it comes to purchasing car, how can you not view it and just buy right?

Carsifu has a large variety of Honda cars to choose from!

Well, I guess that's all for now. I'm still in the midst of shopping for the right car with the right price for me.

Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion @ Penang

Firstly, I'd like to say that this has got to be the most value for money tour ever. With an entrance fee of RM 12 per person, I got to hear exciting stories and history about Cheong Fatt Tze (張弼士) and his blue Mansion from a plump middle aged lady for an hour. Her story telling skills surprised me and she's quite funny.

According to her, Cheong Fatt Tze was a successful Hakka Chinese businessman and politician back then and he is a person who believes strongly in Feng Shui. Many things about him are related to the number 8. For instance, he started building the mansion in 1880 and it took 8 years to complete the whole construction in 1888. The mansion consists of 38 rooms, 5 granite-paved courtyards, 7 staircases & 220 vernacular timber louvre windows. The place was once known as Lotus Flower Lane but there's no lotus flower there anymore.

He also had 8 wives (W.O.W!). The tour guide even mentioned that it is a pity he only found his true love with his 7th wife when he was 60+ and she's 18! But I was like: What?! Pity him? I pity his other wives more because he married them for business purposes! Further more, the tour guide did mention that he got the capital to start-up his business because his father-in-law was very wealthy.

She also explained about the architecture of the house but it is too long to explain here so I advice you to go there and listen it yourself :p

Cheong Fatt Tze mansion has been sold in year 1989 after his 7th wife and her son died. He has made this condition in his will because he doesn't want his beloved wife to be homeless after his death. His descendants has since emptied the mansion and sold it off. The property has now been privatized and the investors have put in a great amount of money in reconstruction and buying furniture that are similar with what the mansion previously had. In year 2000, Cheong Fatt Tze mansion has won UNESCO 'Most Excellent' Heritage Conservation Award. It is also a Boutique Heritage Hotel now so you can stay in this state of the art building.

Before today, I was still wondering why 26th December is called Boxing Day and not unBoxing Day since it's the day you're supposed to unwrap your presents. Then I found it in Wikipedia and the explanation is: "Boxing Day is traditionally a day following Christmas when wealthy people in the United Kingdom would give a box containing a gift to their servants."

Oh... now I know hehe

Actually I redeemed a lot of free gifts from One Utama during this shopping spree which includes 2 sets of fridge magnet (4 pieces each), 2 sets of Christmas boxes, a dolphin pillow and a Christmas bear! Hahaha! I'm a clever shopaholic! XD

Shhhh...... This is a restaurant that only the locals know because it's quite hidden. In fact, it's hidden behind Tua Pek Kong (大伯公) temple. So how do I know this place you asked? My bestie and her boyfie brought us here. She said it's highly recommended so I followed her here although I initially planned not to go for seafood since I had diarrhea last night. But who cares??? Highly recommended leh! Actually she was craving for it also la XD

As soon as we arrived there, we were greeted by the sea view and this creepy looking watchtower.

Yum! The sauce is super nice! If only they have rice to go with! Unfortunately they only have noodle and I heard it's not really tasty.

But I advice girls don't eat too much Lala lor.... later became 'Lala Mui' XD

Salt-baked Prawns! My bestie's favorite and she said sometimes she came with her boyfie just to eat this up to 1kg!!!

We also ordered Coal-baked Crab but our hands were too dirty to pick up our phones nor cameras.

In conclusion, all the seafood are really fresh so they prepared them using simple cooking method. No fancy flavor, not even spicy so you can taste how fresh the seafood is.

Firstly, a big thank you to Thristhan for inviting me to this Hair Spa by Biolyn. Prior to this, Biolyn only sells health and beauty products and now, they have expand to services as well which is this Hair Spa that I went at Seri Kembangan.

Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards 2011 (NAPBAS)

This year, Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards 2011 was held in Putrajaya Marriot Hotel at IOI Resort City. My day didn't start well though. In fact, I've never been in such FML moment before in my life but I won't go to that part. It's just that one of it is: I forgot to bring my digital camera T.T My phone camera still works but the quality sucks under low lights so that explains the following photos I'm gonna post. And because of that, I didn't take much photo. Most photos were taken by Michelle cos she has a DSLR. I'll link them up here when she posted it :p

The Lighthouse Cafe & Bakery @ St. Francis Xavier Church, Penang

There isn't many place where you get to eat while doing charity right? I'm so excited to come to this place after knowing their background. The Lighthouse Cafe & Bakery is located inside St. Francis Xavier Church so if you couldn't locate the cafe using your GPS, you can plot it to St. Francis Xavier Church instead.

So what is so special about this place? It's not a fancy and beautiful cafe but it is really meaningful. All proceeds from this cafe will go to maintaining this place and also to support homeless people in their Feeding Program. All workers in this place are people who are not accepted by the society due to their past and this place is giving them the second chance in life. How compassionate! I wish more people are like that; compassionate, forgiving and helpful!

Very affordable and super delicious! The stall owner said you can't find other sweet and sour sambal in Penang cos it's their own recipe!

They make excellent Curry Puffs but you need to be here around 9.30am to get it.

AXA Preview & Dinner @ Kam Lun Tai Restaurant, Sri Petaling

Thanks to AXA and Kam Lun Tai, I was able to sample some delicious food at the Sri Petaling (aka Seri Petaling) branch. Of course, not to forget my pretty friend who invited me (you know who you are!). Had a short conversation with her too <3

Following are the dishes that I've tasted:

Wrapped Braised Pork
Most girls would hate eating fat pork but I love it the most! LOL! That's the tastiest part leh!

Salted Vegetables with Tofu and Fish
Not really used to drinking salty soup so I'd prefer if it's less salty :p

Braised Japanese Tofu
The gravy with egg and vegetable mix goes well with white rice! Suitable for people who likes to 'flood' their rice :p

Salad prawn
Yummy prawn with generous amount of mayonnaise. The prawn could be fresher though.

Char Siew (Roasted Pork)
A perfect balance of lean and fat meat! YUMS!

Just 2 days before the deadline of this contest, I booked my BFFs to go for this makeover with me. Before my trip to Penang, I've already made research on all the must-visit places. One of it is siTigun. If you're wondering what this name means (like me), siTigun actually comes from the name of the Indonesian owner, Tigun Wibisana. Everything they offer is homemade including the coffee.

A variety of coffee drinks like Latte and Cappuccino, chocolate mousse cake, homemade Tiramisu, biscotti and spaghetti are among the food offered by this cozy coffee house. The one I love the most would definitely be their freshly made Almond Biscotti. If you're a coffee lover, you can buy their coffee powder that is self roasted by the owner every two weeks.

With wooden tables and benches, they instantly reminded me of my primary/secondary school canteen. *Reminiscing* But everyone has grown up (and wide) over the years so it looks kinda funny looking us struggle into our seats. Apparently, guests can go to the back of the shop for a visit but I didn't know about that and they didn't inform us so I missed it.

Frothy and aromatic~~ Initially I wanted to order Cappuccino but the staff warned me that their cappuccino is more bitter than usual so I opted for Latte instead since I'm not a fan of anything bitter

Definitely recommended for froth lovers! Prepared using double shot espresso, the taste is very rich.
If you cannot accept the bitterness of double shot espresso, you can ask for one shot instead.

A bit kao (thick) for me because it's quite bitter. Like Kopi Ping in kopitiams.

If you've missed my post about the first time I came to Coffee Chemistry Signature @ First Subang Mall, please visit here. The second time I visited this cafe is for a bloggers' gathering! Felt really happy to able to meet so many new people :D Some, if heard of their names but unsure how they looked like and some, I can recognize their faces but unsure of their names. So this time, I'm glad to know them more. Besides I also get to meet the owners of the cafe, Johnson Tay and Ryan Hew. Armed with hi tech cameras, they looked like photographers instead haha! Johnson also brought us to a behind-the-scene tour in the kitchen. All the ingredients are fresh and cooked only when order is received.

SausageFest 2011 Finale @ Laundry Bar, The Curve

Eat sausages and help kids??? Yes, you heard me right. During SausageFest, you just need to buy sausages and the proceeds will go to charity to help kids. Besides food, there's also awesome music by our local bands! *clap clap clap* Bands involved during finale are Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob, An Honest Mistake, Rosevelt, Car Crash Hearts and Seconds To Collide.

Here are some photos I managed to take. Some are taken using Pudding Camera for Android so you will probably notice some special effect on the photos. I recorded some short videos but the audio quality sucks so please enjoy the action instead hahaha I really really love the headbanging parts. BTW if you noticed that I didn't post any photo of the sausages I bought, I have a very good reason for that. I was too immersed in the performances that I finished all the sausages before I remember to take photos.

Food Review: Tangkak Beef Noodles (东甲牛腩面) @ Maluri, Cheras

Originally at Jalan Imbi, Tangkak Beef Noodles is now moved to Maluri, Cheras on 11th September 2011! HOORAY! During rainy season like this, having hot Herbal Beef Soup is a bliss to my stomach. Since the soup contains herbs, hence the color is darker than normal clear soup I had outside.

Beef + Stomach + Tendon Noodle seemed to be the best choice since you can sample almost all the body parts they offer. LOL!! If you order normal Beef Noodle, you will be getting brisket and shin part.They offer a variety of noodles to choose too. Among them are Mee, Mihun, Kuey Teow, Mee Laksa and Japanese Ramen (add RM 1). FYI, the broth for noodle and Beef Balls are different so you need to try both out! They also have branches in Malacca and Kluang, Johor :)

The interior is simple, just like a normal kopitiam

Finally, the long awaited Crumbs has landed in Malaysia! Originated from Hong Kong, this scone and frozen yogurt joint has been mushrooming over there. Since it's so famous, it would be a waste not to try it right? ;)

Smart Reader Kids Metro Prima, Kepong Annual Concert 2011

Smart Reader Kids Metro Prima, Kepong held their annual concert cum graduation at Muzium Negara's Auditorium on 13th November 2011.

Clumsy Boy's nephew was participating in a show (scroll below and look for QQ Bees) so I tagged along. But... I was very disappointed with the venue. The videographer stuck right in the center of the seats. My view of the center has been fully obstructed. You'll know what I mean when you see my photos. The only seats that are free from obstruction is the first 2 rows =.=" !@#&^*&^&#

The Krystal Suites @ Bayan Lepas, Penang

I was here in Penang with my uni mates to celebrate the birthday of one of my besties, Christine! I was looking for cheap and good place to stay and initially decided to stay in Tune Hotel but my friend said Tune Hotel doesn't have parking space for customers and we need to park elsewhere with additional charge.

So my bestie suggested The Krystal Suites since she heard from her friend that it's not bad. The price is very affordable. If you book online, you'll get special room rates. Like me, I booked for a 2 bedroom suite (5 person staying) for only RM 210. 3 girls slept in the room with a king sized bed and 2 guys slept in the room with 2 single beds. Just perfect and priced reasonably!

I'm not very sure whether it's the comfortable bed or I'm too tired but I fell asleep quite fast! This is a miracle because I normally couldn't sleep on unfamiliar beds. The living room is quite clean although the sofa looked a bit worn out. We don't really mind though because we just need a place to sleep. This place is actually a serviced apartment so it comes with a kitchen too! I don't dare to take their coffee and tea packs though cos I don't know how long it's been there and there's no expiry date on the packaging LOL!

There's one funny thing in our suite: Most of the stuff there is slanted to one side! The TV is slanted towards right side and the photo frame and lamp is slanted towards left side.

If you came to Penang by air, the location of this hotel is just perfect because it's situated at Bayan Lepas and it's only 10 minutes away from Penang International Airport.

Introducing CinDELLrella!

I finally received the laptop I ordered from Dell few days ago. It took 6 days to reach! Actually I have no choice but to buy a new laptop cos I just resigned and the only portable computer I have is my netbook. Netbook sucks big time! Lag like hell, I couldn't play any flash game :( My productivity decreased rapidly! So bored waiting for things to load. You get it right?

As I'm trying to limit my spendings, I tried to pick a laptop that's less than 2k and has good performance (at least 4GB RAM) at the same time. Surveyed many brands and end up choosing Dell. They're having PC Fair Deals Promotion just in time so I better buy now LOL! This New Inspiron 15 (N5050) only costs RM 1,699 with Windows Home Premium, 4GB RAM, 320GB hard disk space and 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i3-2330M processor 2.20 GHz.

Here's my CinDELLrella!! I know she looked like Red Riding Hood more haha~ But I felt that I'm more related to Cinderella because I seldom go out at night (especially not until later than 12am) because I will get nagged by my grandma and parents :(

Passion, Mission and Vision

Why do you feel so tired during work and study? That's because you don't have Passion!

If you don't have Passion, what do you need to do? Find a Mission (or follow what she did from 1:40)!

If you want to be more successful, you need to have Vision too! But don't be too greedy, if you have more than one Vision, it's called Double Vision which means you're seeing simultaneous perception of two images of a single object. That's no good.
You need to do the 'Vision exercise' often; 3 times a day, 8 hours each time!!! (yes, that's 24 hours LOL)

Shopping at La Senza Express, The Gardens on 11.11.11

Just a quick update~~ Went Mid Valley to shop but it was super duper crowded! I only found an illegal parking space after making rounds for 40 minutes. Then I knew why... Couples who registered their marriage at Thean Hou Temple today (and their relatives) sure headed here for lunch since it's so near!

Comments: OK, well I'm usually not a critic. I usually don't give bad ratings but this movie sucks thanks to the Censorship Board who cuts not only the sex scene but also torture scenes. I think if you want to cut it, better cut it properly as to not let the audiences know so obvious that it was cut. It's just very potong stim. Zzz~~ Plot wise was kinda predictable and plain too :/

My Nuffnang Story

I first started blogging since 5-6 years ago. I wasn't very active back then and I was still very unclear about which is the best blogging site so I switched between Blogspot to Friendster Blog and then to Wordpress.com.

Later on, I came to know about Nuffnang, an amazing blog advertising company that rewards their members with blogger outings like movie screenings, invitation to events and many more activities! In short, it's a company that focuses on user experience!

Unfortunately though, Wordpress.com doesn't allow any widgets back then. So I decided to make a brave move and switched back to Blogspot in 2009 (although it's not as user friendly as Wordpress) for the sake of supporting Nuffnang! I deleted all my old posts and started everything from 0.

I made a point to cashout once every year end as a bonus to myself. I think this is something that every blogger should take note: We should all blog because of our passion and love for blogging. Never blog for money. Money and fame is just a bonus. And if you saw bloggers who had money and fame from blogging, don't be jealous cos they deserve it! You'll never know what they've gone through to achieve what they have today.

My First Nuffnang Cheque

OK, enough of the crap and let's continue with my story hehe... During 2010, I started to join Nuffnang's movie screening ticket giveaways. To my surprise, I won at the first try! I was so thrilled ^_^ I even blogged about it here. Later on, I tried to enter more contests. With determination, creativity, fate and luck factor all combined together, I get the chance to watch more movie screenings. But I guess due of my shy nature, I seldom mingle with other bloggers face to face. I only contact with them via Facebook and Twitter :p I hope people will not label me as arrogant and proud :)

As you all know, Faye Wong came to Malaysia for her concert last Sunday. Everyone said it was awesome but I didn't get to catch it.
In the mood to sing some song of hers, I sang along to this song called 因为爱情 (Because Love). As I'm not a big fan of hers, this is the only song I know 100%.
But because I'm a perfectionist myself, I kinda cut those not so nice parts :p

Acupuncture @ Hejitang TCM 和濟堂, Maluri, Cheras

I was so nervous on the day before acupuncture treatment!. Being a first timer, this is absolutely normal.

After filling out my particulars, I was called into the consultation room. I asked for the female doctor, Dr. Chen Ying Chen during appointment booking. During consultation, she asked me about my current condition/problems so that she can guide me. I mentioned about the back pain I'm having these few weeks due to uncomfortable working chair and I changed from desktop to netbook. She explained that having a tall frame, I should adjust my chair accordingly to suit my height.

She also mentioned that everyone's reaction towards acupuncture is different. Some will feel numb, some will feel like electric shock. She even explained the structure of an acupuncture needle. An acupuncture needle will slide into our flesh as soon as it is inserted so there's no force needed. She also suggested I exercise regularly (I'm a lazy bum).

Then suddenly, the stuff she told me sounds like advising me about life as if she knew I'm struggling about it. Among the things she said:

You're still young, move and exercise while you still can.
Explore more things, try more types of exercises. Then, you will know which one you like most.
OK I forgot the rest. LOL!

When she poked in the needles, it really felt like some mild electric shock. She asked me to focus on my breathing and it got easier. She did constantly ask me whether I'm OK with the pain and I assured her in a confident tone (I'm so good in pretending tough!). After waiting for 20 minutes with the needles on, finally it's time to remove them. Next is the cupping treatment. The warm air from the cupping stimulates the skin, and the suction coaxes blood to the area which promotes localised healing. The chi is warmed and starts to flow freely down the meridians. I was left there with the cups for 5 minutes. I don't understand why it needs to be left for so long though. I've tried cupping my stomach when it's bloated and I'll remove the cup as soon as the suction stopped (this method is taught by my grandma).

Anyway, the receptionist informed us that we'll get 30% discount for next visit and the normal price is RM 38.50 so it'll be RM 27 after discount! Quite affordable!

After the treatment, I took my bag into the changing room.

Coffee Chemistry Signature @ First Subang Mall

Few months ago, I wrote about Coffee Chemistry Cafe @ Sunway Giza and now, they've opened their second branch at First Subang Mall. So I planned to have a meetup with my Primary/Secondary School friends here to enjoy some delicious Graffeo coffee.

Mitsubishi i-MiEV in Malaysia!

Last 2 weeks, Mitsubishi has brought their latest product i-MiEV to One Utama Shopping Centre! MiEV basically stands for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle so yes, this is an electric car! Woohoo!! In support for a greener earth, I will surely buy an electric car in the future. It's currently not launched yet in Malaysia so the price is still unknown. According to my research, the price is around USD 45,000 to USD 51,000 in other countries such as Hong Kong, Australia and United Kingdom which converts to around RM 135,000 - RM 153,000 in Malaysia before taxes.

Oh well, everyone knows PappaRich, one of the most popular place for gatherings and yumchas although I felt that their pricing is quite high for a kopitiam. Ordering Roti Naan with Curry Sauce for the first time, it's really tasty. I guess I'll continue to order this the next time I'm there :)

Dry Chili Pan Mee @ Madam Chiam Curry Noodle House, Connaught

I've been here quite a number of times when my office is still in Cheras. Aunty (a.k.a. Mei Yi) is quite close with boss, bf and I. After so long, she still remembered every one of us when I paid her a visit alone one Sunday morning. At around 11.30am, the restaurant is still quite empty but when I left at 12.30pm, it's almost full house.

Be sure you go earlier if you don't wanna queue for a seat. During peak hours, you might need to share table with some strangers too. I did noticed that after this restaurant appeared in Astro AEC's 阿贤人情味 (Ah Xian Ren Qing Wei) show, the quality of the noodle has deteriorated. The texture is harsher than previous. So during this visit, I paid attention on the texture and found that it has improved to previous standard! Thank God!

OK, so how to eat this? Basically you just pour the chili flakes, squeeze the lime and mix everything (deep fried anchovies, minced meat, poached egg) together! It comes with a bowl of spinach soup (with lots of spinach) too!

I still remember we made a lame joke about this dessert back then.
We were so hard selling this dessert to our boss we said it's so smooth that it came right back out after you swallowed it LOL!!!

Food Review: Bliss 33 Cafe @ USJ 2, Subang Jaya

Bliss 33 is a place recommended by a friend of mine. It's situation at the shops around Petronas opposite of Summit USJ.

Their menu is full of choices and with affordable prices it makes me felt hard to choose what I wanted to eat.

Italy Cheese Baked Rice (RM 9.90)
Yummy!!! Time for diet after this...

Tom Yam Soup Noodles (RM 6.90)

Fish & Chips (RM 9.90)
The actually surprised me. I never thought the quality can be so good!
Tender fish covered with breadcrumb. Love it to bits!

Fish Fillet Rice with Butter Cream Sauce (RM 7.90)
Delicious and affordable!!

Ice Honey Milk (RM 4.90)

Carrot Juice with Milk (RM 3.80)
Too much milk. Maybe I should opt for without milk instead.
