Glad to join Sangkaya as they unveil new menu items this season. What’s new in Sangkaya new menu? Aside from the usual Ice Cream cones and waffle bowls, Sangkaya has created renditions of Malaysia’s traditional desserts using coconut. Let’s check out their new array of desserts.

Ice Cream Cookiez
A great tea time snack to satisfy your coconut ice cream cravings. Imagine a mini burger where the bun is replaced with coconut cookies and the patty is made of premium coconut ice cream.

Fresh Baked Waffles
The Asian way of eating is to share food. This freshly baked coconut waffles accompanied by a trifecta of coconut ice cream scoops came in a good sharing portion. A sprinkle of freshly toasted coconut flakes on top elevates the texture of the food.
Who doesn’t love Roti Bakar with butter and kaya? Most Malaysians love to have Roti Bakar as breakfast (including me) but have you tried Roti Bakar with ice cream? Imagine two slices of perfectly toasted Hainan bread, complemented with frozen butter and 2 scoops of Kaya ice cream. The Hainan bread is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside! This is guaranteed to pay homage to the traditional Malaysian treat.
Ice Cream Campur
This dessert is somewhat of a rendition and a combination of bits and pieces of desserts we enjoy. The Ice Cream Campur is a concoction of 2 scoops of coconut ice cream, 1 scoop of gula melaka ice cream, coconut flesh, roasted peanuts, sweet corn, cincau, cendol and nata de coco. The introduction of Nata de Coco into the mix is somewhat refreshing and exciting. The coconut based jelly really stands out and adds new dimension to the overall mix.
If you have major loves for coconut ice cream, you’ll want something major like Best Giler. Best Giler consists of a Dark Jumbo Cone that is made using chocolate sauce filled with a massive scoop of Ice Cream. You also have a Gula Melaka waffle cone waiting to seduce the coconut ice cream with its rich and natural sweetness. The Best Giler is Sangkaya’s version of the Yin & Yang in the dessert realm.
If variety is your forte, then the Kiasu Platter is for you. You can eat it all by yourself or you can also share with up to 3-4 people.
What’s in Kiasu Platter:
- A waffle
- A molten cake
- A pair of cookies
- An ice cream waffle bowl
The molten cake is fluffy and comes in 2 flavours, black sesame and teh ijo (green tea). The salted egg molten lava is a wonderful mix to the freshly churned coconut ice cream.
Great news! Sangkaya has released a few new ice cream flavors, and their most popular one is Gula Melaka! Believed to be the next Sangkaya craze, it’s made from fresh Gula Melaka boiled down, infused into the coconut ice cream and churned to perfection. It has the right amount of natural palm sugar sweetness chaperoned with a coconut base flavour. You gotta try it!
The other two newly launched flavors in Sangkaya’s expanding menu are Kaya and Mango. Don’t miss them too!
With the release of a new chocolate flavor, Chocolate Royale, they have released a new sinfully chocolatey product. A huge dark choco cone filled with 3 scoops of Chocolate Royale ice cream. The tip of the cone is enriched with chocolate sauce and oreo crush bits. Sinful, but absolutely delicious. To top it off the chocolate ice cream is drizzled
with chocolate sauce, corn flakes and peanuts to create and add texture to the sinfully beautiful concoction.
With its partner in crime, the Chocolate Blitz is an Ice Chocolate coconut milk shake. Very much like a chocolate frappe but it has coconut after taste which makes it unique compared to your traditional Choco frappe. A scoop of Chocolate Royale Ice Cream and a side of coconut whipped cream is added to fulfill your chocolate needs.
Sangkaya Hari Raya Promotion

For the Raya festive season, Sangkaya has released a new items in their line-up so you can try them when you gather with friends and family.
The latest promotional flavor from Sangkaya for Hari Raya season is Rose Bandung. The Rose Bandung is a familiar flavor that all Malaysians can relate to.
4 scoops of Rose Bandung flavored ice cream served in a coconut shell along with strips of coconut flesh.
A Rose Bandung flavored coconut shake served with diced cincau (grass jelly) and a scoop of Bandung Ice Cream.
The Blissful Riang Raya promotion will run from 15 May till 31 July 2017.
