Review: Foot Reflexology @ Body Revolution, Sunway Lagoon Club

A LOT has happened last Monday. I witnessed the passenger seat window of the car behind me got smashed and something (I assume it's bag) got snatched! A police car was just few cars in front but they did not realize what's happening. Not forgetting that a police station is along that road too! My hands were trembling as I texted about it. It feels so insecure to be outside these days.

After rushing to buy stock and sent out to my customer, I went to Sunway Pyramid to collect my birthday gift from L'occitane and also hunted for Hello Kitty glasses. I walked so fast it almost felt like skating hahaha! My legs felt so wobbly after all that fast paced walking so I went to this health spa called Body Revolution at Sunway Lagoon Club for a foot reflexology session.

Body Revolution @ Sunway Lagoon Club

Although the entrance looked a little plain, the interior was beautifully decorated with antiques and potteries. The place is so spacious it feels like I'm at the lobby of a resort! And don't worry, you can still enter without club membership :)

The foot reflexology started with a foot bath using Milk Essence Crystal Jelly Mud. Natural peony leaves and essence oil were added to nourish and moisturize my skin. Later on, the masseuse slathered lotion on my foot and began the massage. She started a conversation with me in Mandarin. Although my Mandarin wasn't that good, I tried my best to converse with her and luckily she can understand what I say. *phew* According to her, she came from China and has worked in this company for 3 years. Prior to this, the company provided them with training from a master so you can be rest assured that the masseuses and masseurs are skillful enough. The amount of pressure applied was just right and you can always tell them if it's too strong for your liking.

Hmmm... choices, choices...

Foot bath! Ahhh~~

Specially brewed tea with red date, gou ji and ginseng to eliminate toxin

My feet are feeling great now that my tiredness from constant walking (yes, I walk a lot!) has finally relieved. Do you know why the health of our feet is so important? There is a Chinese saying: 读万卷书不如行万里路 that means 'Reading ten thousands of books is not as useful as travelling ten thousand miles' and I believe a lot of walking will be involved here!

BTW, this is not the only treatment I had here. In my next week's post, I'm going to share with you an epic body treatment with involves setting fire on my back and stomach!! SCARY HUH!

Bloggers Chilli Rush Challenge @ Chilli Rush, Jaya One

Before heading to 250 feet Lou Sang Ceremony at Jaya One last month, bloggers were invited for a chillout session at Chilli Rush. As I can't really stand spiciness (not even chilli cause), I dragged Clumsy Boy along (teehee). I'm now better though, trying to train myself so that I can be a better food blogger :)

Overall, the food was awesome (that is why Clumsy Boy still eats the spicy chickens although he's having a sore throat) and the staffs are all friendly and helpful. Not to forget, all the bloggers attended this session are great companies! I'll be back for more!!

We were greeted by lots of fun facts about chilli!

Are you cool enough to handle the Chilli Rush Challenge?

Not many survived to date hahaha

We were briefed before we begin tasting

First Starbucks Breakfast & BCard Experience!

As you guys know, I've been a freelancer for 5 months now. Life is never easy as my income is unstable. Sometimes I need to use my savings to cover expenses although I spend really little. Because of this, I seldom treat Clumsy Boy meals anymore :(

While thinking of this, an idea sparked! I still have my BCard! *jumps happily* It's time to claim the reward from spending previously. So I decided to bring him for a tasty breakfast at Starbucks! I found that there's an ongoing promotion there: Just buy any beverage and get a Toastie at only RM 5 :)

The process of redemption is very smooth and easy. I just need to hand them the card to pay for my stuff. The staff swiped my card and asked me to key in my pin number. After that, I was asked to sign on the receipt and voila, wait for my food to be ready!

Jeng jeng!! Showing off my BCard :p

I don't need to pay for this meal! YAY!

Grande Cappuccino & Cocoa Cappuccino

Tuna Toastie

Chicken Toastie
I love my Chicken Toastie! With Oregano on top, it tastes like pizza.

Glad to see Clumsy Boy's happy face!

Movie: 愛 Love (2012)

This is a story that takes place in two cities, Taipei and Beijing, about eight lonely souls searching for contentment. A romantic comedy where everything that happens and where every sacrifice is made for LOVE. The movie started with Hebe Tien (田馥甄)'s song entitled 'Love!' in the background, perfect for the storyline of the movie.

Ni (Amber KUO 郭采潔) comes from a wealthy family. As the captain of a college sport team, everything seems perfect until the day she finds out her best friend Yi Jia (CHEN Yi-Han 陳意涵) is pregnant by her own boyfriend Kai (PENG Yu-Yan 彭于晏) after a one night stand. Betrayed by both her boyfriend and best friend, Ni’s life spirals out of control. She needs answers.

Kai and Ni

Meanwhile, Kai realizes that he has made the biggest mistake of his life and that he is in love with Ni. He must have her back. All the while, Yi Jia is torn by the situation and decides the best option is an abortion. But it doesn’t take long for Ni to realize that she is not the only victim in this situation and admits that she can’t afford to lose either of them. In the middle of the story, Chen Han Dian 陳漢典 from a popular Taiwanese show (康熙来了) made a guest appearance to inform Yi Jia's brother that she has went to the women's clinic.

Lu (Doze NIU Chen Zer 鈕承澤 who is also the director), Ni’s father, is a successful middle-aged businessman living a glamorous lifestyle with his charming movie star girlfriend Zoe (SHU Qi 舒淇) by his side. However when Lu is ready for marriage, he finds out that Zoe no longer wants to be with him. In fact, Zoe is a lonely woman who needs waking from the vanity that engulfs her. When she meets waiter Kuan (Ethan RUAN 阮經天), Yi Jia’s brother, she is attracted by his sweet personality and wisdom. Between Lu and Kuan, Zoe faces the biggest choice of her life.

Kuan and Zoe

Lu’s business partner, Mark (Mark JAU 趙又廷), is a ladies’ man who only dates young and beautiful women. His fondest memories are of living with his deceased father in Taipei, in a traditional Chinese courtyard home. His dream is to use his wealth to buy a similar home in Beijing. Xiao Ye (Vicki ZHAO 趙薇) is a single mother working in Beijing as a real estate agent. She is not young, nor is she stylish. She spends most of her time and energy taking care of her five-year-old son. One day, Mark meets Xiao Ye while looking for a place to buy and he starts to develop feelings for her and her son.

Mark and Xiao Ye

Quotes from every character:
Zoe (SHU Qi 舒淇): "What you have, are not the things that you want."
Xiao Ye (Vicki ZHAO 趙薇): "I heard that inside every jerks' body, resides a wounded heart."
Kuan (Ethan RUAN 阮經天): "Your future, is all on me."
Mark (Mark JAU 趙又廷): "You don't need to own women, conquered them would be enough."
Kai (PENG Yu-Yan 彭于晏): "I'm very afraid of losing you, and also afraid of losing my dream."
Yi Jia (CHEN Yi-Han 陳意涵): "In this world, if there is a person who will record a film like this for me, I..."
Ni (Amber KUO 郭采潔): "Just because I'm not that great, then I'm not eligible to love, and I don't deserve to be loved?"
Lu (Doze NIU Chen Zer 鈕承澤): "Although sleeping beside you, that person might turn into a stranger in just one night."

This is a highly recommended movie by me as it portrays the most common conflicts we face in the journey of love. Will you forgive the person who have wronged you because of love? Will you sacrifice wealth and glamour life for love? Will you open your heart to love again after you've been hurt? Will you still trust love?

It’s something everyone seems to understand but can’t seem to grasp
Love: the most natural and complex emotion in the world.

Is there anything or anybody in the world that is capable of curing us?
If love is the answer, what is it? Where is it?

Don't forget to find LOVE in cinemas from 22nd March onwards!

BeLushley Lip Balms

An entrepreneurial venture by four students of Taylor's University, BeLushley works with underserved communities to produce lip balms in order to invoke social change and it was conceived through the Challenge for Change competition by Digi Telecommunications in 2011.

To ensure a greater impact on the society, women from Kakakhood, an informal community in Sitiawan, Perak is also involved in this project. Single mothers in this community have positively obliged to offer their services in the creation of this product to generate some side income while at the same time having the flexibility to be with their children.

Mums get to work together with their children and foster a better relationship too

To produce an all-natural product from local raw materials, they have sourced produced beeswax from the Orang Asli community of Cameron Highlands. Besides that, they are also using Soya Bean Oil and Essential Oil as their ingredient.

Produced hygienically

Offering 2 flavours of lip balm at the moment (Orange Zest and Mint Sprig), it replenishes the moisture lost from air conditioning NATURALLY, glides easily and doesn't have a strong smell. The good news is, it's also suitable for men as it is not overly glossy.

Orange Zest and Mint Sprig
At only RM 8.90, it's definitely worth the price as the money you pay doesn't only brings goodness to yourself but also contributes to the society. Do head over to eBay Malaysia to support them or find out more about them in BeLushley's Facebook Page.
