Synopsis:
Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Inspired by Hasbro’s classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper’s fiancee; Alexander SkarsgΓ₯rd as Hopper’s older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper’s crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone’s superior (and Sam’s father), Admiral Shane. Berg directs this epic action-adventure also produced by Scott Stuber (Couples Retreat), Sarah Aubrey (The Kingdom), Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir of Hasbro (the Transformers franchise), along with Duncan Henderson (Master and Commander). The film is written by Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber (Red).

Review:
Maybe it’s because of all the hype around me, it makes me have a high expectation towards this movie. During the character development process (the first 45 minutes), I was feeling very impatient. I only wanted to see the battle part! The visual effects were impressive though but story wise, I have no idea why the aliens doesn’t kill certain people. Maybe they only kill people who tries to kill them?
Not as good as I expect but if you compare it with most alien movies, I’d say this is not bad.
Rating: 5/10

I think this movie is quite nice. Starting for the battle part, my heart keep beating so fast. But quite funny that the alien has kindhearted. Won't kill those people one. Hahaha

I rather liked Battleship. I played the board game as a kid with my sister. Haha.
I was wondering how they'll make it into a film and it surpassed my expectations. A popcorn summer flick, don't think too much, just enjoy the action. π

lol i watched it too! well one thing i learn about movie is that never have any expectation on the movie, the best if you dont even watch the trailer! haha like that you will be surprised that how much you enjoy the movie. π
I actually didn't watch the trailer but my friends in Fb and Twitter anticipated it very much so I thought it must be a super awesome movie!
5 out of 10? My parents said this was a superb movie, and their opinions are always negative. I've personally not seen this yet, so will judge later k? I accidentally watched the trailer on Astro, wished I hadn't.

Huh? 5 out of 10 only?! I think most people give 8/10 which I think is a bit too high lah. Haha! I give it a 7. The reason I don't give it a 8 is because I find the story nothing much to shout about, but I love the machines, the actions and all the explosions! LOL!!

i saw this movie yesterday and i must say it is quite good for me. The movie is mainly giving tribute to all military who served during WWII, thus the missouri battleship is more chiooo than the the latest high-tech ship in the movie LOL.
but… can win over planet G? LOL. you kiddin me right AHHAHA.
anyway, I enjoy this movie π
