Dry Chili Pan Mee @ Madam Chiam Curry Noodle House, Connaught

I've been here quite a number of times when my office is still in Cheras. Aunty (a.k.a. Mei Yi) is quite close with boss, bf and I. After so long, she still remembered every one of us when I paid her a visit alone one Sunday morning. At around 11.30am, the restaurant is still quite empty but when I left at 12.30pm, it's almost full house.

Be sure you go earlier if you don't wanna queue for a seat. During peak hours, you might need to share table with some strangers too. I did noticed that after this restaurant appeared in Astro AEC's 阿贤人情味 (Ah Xian Ren Qing Wei) show, the quality of the noodle has deteriorated. The texture is harsher than previous. So during this visit, I paid attention on the texture and found that it has improved to previous standard! Thank God!

OK, so how to eat this? Basically you just pour the chili flakes, squeeze the lime and mix everything (deep fried anchovies, minced meat, poached egg) together! It comes with a bowl of spinach soup (with lots of spinach) too!

Dry Chili Pan Mee with Egg (Small: RM 4.70)
Mix mix mix and you get this!
If you're not a spicy food lover, you can opt without the chili flakes.
Rest assured, it still tastes delicious!

Spinach Vegetable Soup
Dumpling a.k.a. Sui Gao (RM 1 each)
I think it's so-so only. Nothing special :/

Dessert time! Cold barley gingko with fu chuk!
What's fu chuk called in English? :/
I still remember we made a lame joke about this dessert back then.
We were so hard selling this dessert to our boss we said it's so smooth that it came right back out after you swallowed it LOL!!!

Food Review: Bliss 33 Cafe @ USJ 2, Subang Jaya

Bliss 33 is a place recommended by a friend of mine. It's situation at the shops around Petronas opposite of Summit USJ.

Their menu is full of choices and with affordable prices it makes me felt hard to choose what I wanted to eat.

Italy Cheese Baked Rice (RM 9.90)
Yummy!!! Time for diet after this...

Tom Yam Soup Noodles (RM 6.90)

Fish & Chips (RM 9.90)
The actually surprised me. I never thought the quality can be so good!
Tender fish covered with breadcrumb. Love it to bits!

Fish Fillet Rice with Butter Cream Sauce (RM 7.90)
Delicious and affordable!!
Ice Honey Milk (RM 4.90)

Carrot Juice with Milk (RM 3.80)
Too much milk. Maybe I should opt for without milk instead.

Food Review: Green Treats Delicatessen @ Swiss Garden Hotel

Guess what! I bought vouchers from Everyday again and this time, I only paid RM 30 for 2 pax to enjoy Hi-Tea with Macaroons at Green Treats Delicatessen @ Swiss Garden Hotel. They have a wide variety of freshly baked organic breads, wholesome sandwiches, selection of noodles, cakes, gourmet teas and coffees as well as freshly squeezed juices if you go ala carte. And the best thing is: they have complimentary WIFI access!!

BTW I had peeped their macaroon's price: it's RM 2 each. I get 6 macarons in this deal. So I can tell you this deal is really damn worth it! *kiamsiap mode*

Comfy seats and pillows!

You're welcome! :p

Dark ambience = relax~

My Illy Coffee! One sachet of Equal is sufficient enough! Trust me!

Can you stop capturing photos already???

Muffins and Strawberry Macarons! I described the Strawberry Macarons as 'like Sugus'.

Assorted Sandwiches! We couldn't finish this cos it's just too much!

Scones and Chocolate Macarons! Love this Chocolate Macaron the most <3!

Fresh Cream and Strawberry Jam for scones

Har... Don't be too greedy or else the cream will drip down!

Lemon Macroons that taste like Mentos! Hahahaha~~

Lots of fruits too!

No idea what is this called.... Fruit punch?

Chocolate Mousse Cakes!

Mini muffin!

I parked just opposite of Swiss Garden btw!

Music Monday: Zee Avi - Bitter Heart

Bitter Heart was sung by Zee Avi, a fellow Malaysian who has made it internationally!
Let's support local artistes!

Lyrics:
Sun rays come down as seen when they hit the ground,
Children spinning around till they fall down down down.

I wait for you: it's been two hours now,
You're still somewhere in town,
Your dinners getting cold.

I rest my case you are always this late,
And you know how much I hate
waiting around 'round 'round,

Bitter heart, bitter heart tries to keep it all inside,
Bitter heart, bitter heart shadows will help you try to hide,
Bitter heart, my bitter heart is gettin' just a little fragile,
Bitter heart, bitter heart of mine.

And then you come and tell me the same reason as you did yesterday,
So tell me what's her name.

Doo doo da dum, doo doo da dum,
doo doo doo doo doo doo da da dum dum,
da da da da dum, da da da da dum, da da da da dum.

Bitter heart, bitter heart tries to keep it all inside
Bitter heart, bitter heart shadows will help you try to hide,
Bitter heart, my bitter heart is just getting a little fragile,
Bitter heart, bitter heart of mine,
Of mine, of mine, of mine, of mine, of mine.

Fruit Land @ Viva Home Mall

We went to this restaurant during our first visit to Viva Home Mall. In my previous post, I have mentioned that there are many eateries here.

Their signature food is actually ice fruit desserts but I don't have the chance to try yet. Their desserts are a crossover of Fresh Fruit sago lolo and famous Tao Fu Fa glutinous rice ball which designed especially for fruit enthusiasts and dessert lovers across all ages.

When I was eating inside, I saw many people are bringing their cameras, DSLRs and phone camera to shoot something outside. Out of curiosity, I went and checked it out. Look what I found!

Fried Fish Chops and Chips
Fried Fish Chops and Chips + Appetizer + Ice Lemon Tea (RM 11.90)
Isn't that Fish and Chips??? LOL the name's weird. The fish tastes not bad.
Very worth since the price includes appetizer and drink too!

Appetizer
Appetizer (Sorry, I can't remember what it is! :p)

Crispy Crabby

Basically, this is fried crabstick. I think it'll tastes better if they don't slice the crabstick so thin.

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks @ The Gardens Mall, Mid Valley City

Lately Malaysians are quite crazy about Taiwan food and drinks e.g. ChaTime and Gong Cha just to name a few.

Not my first time here though but I forgot to take photos during my last visits. I've tried their XXL Fried Chicken before. It's quite tasty and you can choose to want spicy or not. The only turn off is it's too large and they won't cut it for you. It's very inconvenient for a girl to eat such a large fried chicken (with bones!), you get me??

This time, I'm trying their Ricebox Set that consists of a plate of rice with some tofu and Spicy Fried Chicken and a bottle of V-Soy soya milk! I think it's very worth the money spent because it's Taiwan specialty in 1! However, I realized that not all outlets have the same menu. There's a bit of difference in every outlet.

My First Platinum Card!!!

HSBC Platinum Credit Card
HSBC Platinum Credit Card

*Jumps joyfully!* I finally have a platinum credit card! Not so proud of it though because it's a supplementary from my dad. Ever since I've started working, I never used the supplementary card anymore but I still kept it anyway. Last week, my dad gave me this card to replace the previous gold card. It seems like HSBC has been quite desperate so they automatically upgraded our gold card to platinum card by mail!

My dad called to say he doesn't want it but HSBC said it's compulsory and terms and condition will remain the same. I still doubt it though. Normally the annual fee for platinum card is more expensive than gold card >.<

But if it's true, I hope they will auto upgrade my HSBC Amanah gold card to platinum too!!! :p

Food Review: Hainan Tea Garden @ Viva Home Mall, Loke Yew

Have you guys been to Viva Home Mall yet? Since it's opening, a lot of Cheras friends of mine have started to hang here during weekend gatherings! I must say, this mall really have a lot of eateries to choose from.

This is one of it: Hainan Tea Garden! Equipped with lots of comfy pillows, I immediately wanted to eat here.

What a comfy environment to chill~

Wanted to eat here the moment I saw the settings!

As soon as I entered the restaurant....

Seated!

The Menu

Ah this is something that other kopitiams don't have! Gonna try these next time!

Steamed Chicken Rice
Steamed Chicken Rice (RM 8.90)
Tastes decent, chicken meat is soft and tender but portion is kinda small.

Roasted Chicken Rice
Roasted Chicken Rice (RM 8.90)
During the whole eating process, we kept hearing some noise every now and then. In this environment, it's not a suitable place to relax. After eating, we went to investigate where the sound came from and we found that the culprit is this!! It's Ting Ting Candy! It's too sweet for my liking though hehe...
