Movie Review: The Green Hornet

Synopsis
In the 3D action-comedy The Green Hornet, Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire.  Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. To get close to the criminals, they come up with the perfect cover: they’ll pose as criminals themselves.

Protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets.  Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.

Review
In think this is a really funny comedy! Lots of laughing points and the jokes are sooo my type LOL! Many may think that Jay Chou's acting sucks but believe me, it isn't in this movie cos he's just being himself: the same old cool guy which isn't a bad news right? Oh and not to forget, the gadgets in this movie are super cool too! I especially love the coffee machine hehehe =P

Food Review: Sen Tsuru @ Palm Spring, Damansara

It was end of 2010 and so Ah Boy and I decided to eat some buffet. Then we stumbled this very good promotion at http://www.everyday.com.my so we just need to pay RM 20.30 per person! We were told that they've just raised their price from RM 40.60 to RM 44.99, luckily we bought the voucher =)

The parking there isn't free though. Rate for first 1.5 hours is RM 2.00 and subsequent hour or part thereof is RM 1.00.

There are 78 choices of food for you to choose including drinks and desserts. We didn't get to try their homemade green tea ice cream because they haven't prepare yet =(

Movie Review: FASTER

Courtesy of Nuffnang, I get to watch FASTER's Special Screening last Monday =)

After Driver (Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock) served a 10-year sentence due to robbery, he went out to avenge for his brother who got killed during their botched bank robbery. With a list of names and addresses in hand, he sprints out of the prison gates and is immediately on his mission. A cop (Billy Bob Thornton), a veteran police officer just days from retirement, and Killer (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), a young egocentric hitman with a flair for the art of killing is also after him.

Who hired the hitman to go after Driver? Is the list of names complete? You will need to find out the answer in the movie. Expect a lot of bang bang bangs inside this movie instead of hu-hah hu-hah... not much fighting scenes inside. Head to your nearest cinema, FASTER!

If I Were the Green Hornet

If I Were the Green Hornet I will first create a green armor that can withstand even the strongest fire power to ensure that I won't die so easily (or else how to fight crime right?). Why green color you asked? Promote a greener environment to save the earth ma LOL!

After that, it's time to kick some bad ass. I will hack into the police's system to listen for any crime reporting so that I know when crime is taking place. Once the location of crime has been identified using my GPS, I will rush to the crime scene with my super-jet-speed bicycle (bicycle is cheaper than motorcycle and car and is more affordable because I've spent all my money on the armor... and eco friendly too!).

With my armor, I'm not gonna be afraid of any weapon that the villains have and thus I can capture them easily before the police even arrive (because normally the police will arrive after the villains has been defeated yea :p).
